At Dalbir Sons Jewellers, we honour the emotional and material value of your old gold. Our Old Gold Exchange Programme allows customers to exchange their personal gold jewellery (purchased elsewhere) for new Dalbir Sons designs, with full transparency and fair valuation.
Eligibility & Accepted Items
- We accept plain gold jewellery of 14kt purity or higher, irrespective of brand or origin.
- Only the gold metal component is eligible for exchange; any embedded stones, enamel, or other non-gold elements are excluded from valuation.
Valuation & Exchange Process
- Net gold weight is determined after removing all non-gold elements.
- Gold purity is tested via a karatmeter or sent to an authorised assaying lab.
- Final exchange value is calculated based on prevailing Dalbir Sons gold rates for the specific purity on the date of exchange.
- Exchange is allowed only against new jewellery of equal or higher value. No cash or refund will be issued.
Purity Testing & Extraction
- In some cases, jewellery may need to be melted to accurately assess gold weight and purity.
- All extraction is conducted with due care, but customers acknowledge the risk of damage to non-gold parts.
- Stones, diamonds, and other detachable components will be returned to the customer in their extracted form.
Documentation & KYC
- Customers must complete and sign a Gold Exchange Request & Consent Form.
- Valid photo ID and address proof (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, etc.) are required.
- For transactions above ₹2 Lakhs, a self-attested PAN copy and physical presence of the customer is mandatory.
Important Disclaimers
- Once the old gold is processed and valued, no claims, modifications, or disputes will be entertained.
- Dalbir Sons Jewellers reserves the right to accept or reject any jewellery after physical inspection.
- Any changes to the policy will be updated on our website without prior notice. However, ongoing exchange requests will follow the terms applicable at the time of submission.
